THIRTY-SIX
I Wish Upon A Star
When I was a little girl, I believed my wishes would come true if I secretly tell them to the stars at night. Naivety led me to believe fairy tales belonged to the other side of life. The secret doorway to the fantasy is for little girls who behaved well.
Well, I never did find that secret door. It was not that I was not a well-behaved girl but I realised there was no “the other side of life”. Reality was reality and is still reality.
My grandma always tells me, “As long as you are sincere about doing something, no amount of hardship can bring you down.”
Till then.
